When do injuries occur?
The graph below shows the number of pedestrians killed or injured in motor vehicle crashes for 2019 - 2023, by time of day. The highest number of child pedestrians are injured between 2pm and 4pm, followed by 4pm to 6pm and 8am to 10am. Adult pedestrians are injured in relatively steady numbers from 8am to 8pm, after which the numbers begin to drop off.
